   Link ran and ran every step he got away from the Knight Academy and closer to where freedom truly is. "Oi! Link!" a voice called, Link stopped 'Oh goddess' Link thought 'Not now,'. Link looked to his left and there, strutting past the bird statue was none other than Groose. Link knows they're pals and all but he just can't accept the fact. Groose stopped in front of Link "How ya doin' today Link?" he asked 'Alright until you came along,' Link thought but he just replied "Fine. Just been having a few nigh-" Link stopped himself "What was that?" said Groose leaning his ear to Link "I said I was fine now do you mind I have somewhere important to be." Link said and Groose stood upright and folded his arms "Well aren't we Mr. I'm so tough I can take out Groose today?" Groose said sarcastically and laughed. Link glared at him "You don't scare me Link. And don't think just 'cause we acted like pals getting rid of whatever it was back on Land that we have some friendship." Groose said "Fine with me now get out of my way." Link responded with a cold tone "Alright whatever I have more important things to attend to. See ya Link." Groose said as he walked off with a wave.

  "Phew Thank goodness he's gone he's the last person I wanted to speak to today." Link mumbled to himself as he lugged out into Skyloft's center area 'Today's been horrible' he thought 'A nightmare, Zelda on my case again, and I still haven't eaten because stupid Pipit made me miss breakfast!' Link complained in his thoughts. "Link look out!" Zelda cried "The tow-!". Link hit his head right on the Tower of Light and fell backward onto the concrete. Zelda gasped and others watched "Is he alright" someone whispered "How did he hit that tower?" another whispered "Yeah you can't miss it." one other person said. "Well don't just stand there let's see if he's okay!" Zelda commanded and sprinted towards Link "Link?" she said "You alright?" Zelda asked as she knelt down next to Link. Link opened his eyes and blinked twice "Wh-what?" he moaned "I asked if your alright." Zelda said "Yeah I'm fine just knocked my head that's all," Link said sitting up "You get used to it after a while I've hit my head on worse things." Link added as he stood up and Zelda rose too. Link saw all the people staring for a moment but then they all went off in every which way "Link you sure your okay? Perhaps you should get it checked." suggested Zelda
"I told you Zelda not to worry about me." Link said "Maybe if you weren't so stubborn and would listen I wouldn't have to!" Zelda yelled in Link's face "Me stubborn? I'm not the one who keeps worrying about someone that has almost gotten killed from far worse things than a blow to the head!" Link shouted back. Zelda and Link stared at each other for a moment both of their faces engulfed with anger Zelda turned around and crossed her arms "At least I care enough to even try!" Zelda shouted "Well you shouldn't!" Link  yelled back "You know why?!" "Why?!" Zelda replied "Because I can take care of myself! I have for years now! I don't need a mother now and never will! I definitely don't need you especially to be my mother! Maybe if you would just go away and be the normal stupid girl your supposed to be the girl who is"-Link made his voice pitch higher-"Oh look at me I'm Zelda and I am the daughter of the Headmaster. Link are you okay Link are you alright!BLAH BLAH BLAH!" Link yelled "I don't need you Zelda I got my own self and I can take care of me!" he added "Your just my stupid childhood friend!". Zelda stood silent 'What the?
What just happened?' Link thought and reached for Zelda.
  
"Z-Zelda look I didn't-" Link began but Zelda smacked his hand away from her "If you don't want me in your life fine! I don't know you then Link! You idiot!" Zelda yelled and then ran off towards the Goddess statue sniffing along the way. 'Zelda.' Link thought as he watched his friend run off with tears in her eyes 'Why did I say that stuff? What   could've lead me to say such things to her?' Link thought as he put his hand on his head 'I need to get away just for a few days I'll stay on one of the islands,' the thought processed through his head as he jumped off the cliff and called his Crimson Loftwing.


--Later that Night--

Link went down into a small hole on the Island of Songs 'I'll stay here. . . Just for a couple days then I'll go back. Maybe. . Maybe she'll forget.' Link's vision began to blur and he yawned and fell asleep. No bed. No warm green quilt. Just on the cold stone in the Isle of Songs.

  "C'mon Link come play with me in the castle!" a young girl cheered  "Father won't mind!" she said some more Link knew who it was, Zelda when she was smaller when they were kids. "I want you to come by later the Castle is under more lock down since we got that new guard the big green man." young Zelda said in her young outfit and that strange thing that always covered her hair "Take this." she handed  the younger Link a small piece of paper with scribbles on it "It's a way to sneak in to the castle that way I can show you the big green man Father has hired." she said, young Link nodded. "Bye then Link. Until next time!" young Zelda giggled "Pals forever right?" her voice echoed, young Link nodded with a smile and then. . . the dream had ended.

  Link opened his eyes a little and then they popped open and he sat up quickly and looked around. He was still there. In the Isle of Songs where he had chosen to stay for a couple nights. Flashbacks came flooding into Link's mind like a river but some weren't even there. Some he had completely erased. 'I need rest. No time for this right now.' Link thought as he lied back down. Links stomach let out a huge growl. 'That's right I still haven't eaten.' the thought popped into Link's head he had completely forgotten he hadn't eaten. 'But that's not important I'll just drop by the Knight Academy tomorrow I'm sure Zelda will have gotten me something like she does if I'm not at breakfast.' Link smiled at the thought 'Oh wait. That's right.' flashbacks of the fight earlier went through his head 'She supposedly doesn't know me now so can't expect that.' Link sighed 'Well whatever who needs her.' he thought and went off to sleep.
